Liona Diana Baumann

Hays Lion’s Club – Joined Lions 2009

DG Diana joined the Norton Lions Club in 2009 and transferred to the Hays Lions Club in 2018.  She has been very active at the club level, and has served as President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer and has been a Board Director of both clubs.  She also chaired multiple committees and special projects.

As a Lion, DG Diana has completed her Bachelor’s Program at Lions University.  She is a graduate of the Great Plains Lions Leadership Institute and the Midwest Faculty Development Institute.  She completed the Servant Leadership Course and has attended multiple USA/Canada Forums and International Conventions.  DG Diana has held the offices of Council Chair,  District Governor, Vice-District Governor, District Secretary, District Treasurer, Zone Chair and State Committee Chair. 

DG Diana is currently a Guiding Lion and is the District GLT.

DG Diana is a Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow and has received multiple Presidential Certificates of Appreciation and New Voices Certificates as well as a Presidential and Leadership medal.  

DG Diana is married to PDG Tom Baumann.   They have three grown children and five wonderful  grandchildren.  

DG Diana graduated from Fort Hays State University with a Degree in Accounting.  She is currently the Vice President of Finance and Hays Operations at FHSU – North Central Kansas Technical College.
